SEKHMET, Egyptian Lion Goddess of War and Healing, Chaos and Fire, destroyer of the enemies of the sun god Ra.

These are made especially as offerings to Sekmet, the lioness goddess of Egypt, which has genuine brown tiger's eye chips and juniper leaf embedded lightly on top of the wax. The fragrance is the essence of Egyptian musk - dark delicious amber and the mysterious scent of oud are the highlights of this fragrance dedicated to Sekhmet

Sekhmet is one of the oldest Egyptian deities. She was originally the warrior goddess associated with Upper Egypt prior to 2930 BCE. Her Lower Egyptian equivalent prior to this was Bastet. She had a variety of names including the "Lady of Terror" and the "Lady of Pestilence"‚ both of which she received from The Book of the Dead.

Sekhmet was also referred to as "She Who is Powerful"‚ which was a name the ancient Egyptians gave to any female deity whom they considered to be dangerous. She was depicted with the head of a lioness wearing a sun disk and a uraeus (a representation of a sacred serpent as an emblem of supreme power, worn on the headdresses of ancient Egyptian deities and sovereigns), as well as having the body of a woman.

Disclaimer: The temperature of your melter and how many squares you use at one time determines how long your scent will last and how strong it will be. Additionally, some fragrances are meant to be more subtle and softer than others designed to be stronger. One cube with throw a good scent for up to 12-15 hours. Each warmer keeps wax at different temperatures depending on the strength of the heat source (light bulb, tealight, etc.) combined with the size and design of the warmer and the wax dish it uses, so different wax melters may make wax melts stronger or lighter.

These wax melts are compatible with Yankee Candle, Scentsy, Home Interiors, Partylite, and all other brands of melters/warmers.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your melts before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through Etsy messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
