8 oz Candle - Persephone Greek Goddess of the Underworld and Agriculture
Scented and charged with positive energy. A perfect offering of wax melts or candles for Persephone, an exotic and complex fragrance that includes a base of light aquatic florals such as water lily and lotus to represent the Spring and Summer aspects of Persephone as the Greek goddess of agriculture, grain, and fertility. To that base, we added smoked vanilla to represent the aspect of Persephone as the Greek goddess of the underworld. Together, these fragrances make a delightfully deep and mysterious fragrance that is excellent for meditation and relaxation! These are embedded with red garnet crystal gemstone chips along with freshly dried rosemary from our own homegrown rosemary bush.
Persephone, the daughter of Demeter and Zeus, was the wife of Hades and the Queen of the Underworld. She was a dual deity, since, in addition to presiding over the dead with intriguing autonomy, as the daughter of Demeter, she was also a goddess of fertility. The story of her abduction by Hades was frequently used to explain the cycle of the seasons. Together with her mother, she was the central figure of the Eleusinian mysteries.
Scent: Bitter citrus with aromatic nuance of rosemary intertwines with salty, sea nuances and water lily and lotus. Sharp notes of spices are softened by a woody base with a warm, musky trail of deep smoky vanilla.
Accents: Dark red garnet crystal chips and dried rosemary leaves

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.
DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your candles before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your candle.
