This 16 oz ritual offering candle is a great way to connect with Papa Legba. It has top notes of amber and oak moss and base notes of tobacco, bourbon, and musk, giving it a dark and mysterious scent. You can choose the color that suits you best. The candle is finished with obsidian crystals, cowrie (cowry) shells, tobacco, and mugwort, all offered to Papa Legba and blessed with positive energy. It's perfect for any altar.

Papa Legba is an important orisha in the African spirit pantheon, known as the god of doors and entryways, gates and paths, of Crossroads, sorcery, and trickery. In New Orleans Voodoo and Haitian Vodou, he is the Gatekeeper, the Keeper of the Crossroads, and the window between our physical world and the spiritual world. He's there to help us communicate with other Iwa and to open the way with comfort and understanding. If you're stuck at a crossroads of life and don't know which way to turn, Papa Legba can help you.

Legba has many paths, and one of the most well-known is Atibon Legba, who is an older man and a trickster. He walks with a twisted cane, smokes a pipe, wears a straw hat, and carries a djakout, the straw sack. You may see Legba's straw sack hanging off of a tree with his offerings inside. Remember, if you need to enter the spiritual realm or allow the spirits to come to you, you must first get permission from Papa Legba.

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your melts before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
