NYX - Greek Primordial Goddess of the Night

This exquisite offering is specifically designed to appease the powerful Greek goddess Nyx. A primordial goddess who embodies the night, she is pleased by moonflowers that bloom at night and the darkness of the black tourmaline on these wax melts or candles. The fragrance is deep, dark, and mysterious, with notes of Frankincense, Myrrh, Amyris, Amber Musk, and Sandalwood. If you like our Hecate fragrance, this is a must-have offering.

NYX was the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods (protogenoi) who emerged at the dawn of creation. Regarded as one of the original gods to emerge, she was brought forth from Khaos (Chaos, Air), and through coupling with Erebos (Darkness), she gave birth to Aither (Aether, Light) and Hemera (Day). In addition, she brought forth a group of dark spirits, including Sleep, Death, Strife, Pain, and the three Fates.

Nyx was an ancient deity who embodied the very essence of the night. She was renowned for draping a veil of dark mists across the sky, which would obscure the light of Aither and allow the shining blue of the heavens to be visible. Her opposite was Hemera (Day), who dispelled the mists of the night at dawn.

In ancient art, Nyx was often depicted as a winged goddess or charioteer, sometimes adorned with a crown of dark mists. Her portrayal was a testament to the power she possessed and her importance among the gods.

✨Each of our products is crafted individually in our home studio in our tiny home in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and made to order using a unique custom blend of eco-friendly waxes – allowing for the maximum fragrance load possible and providing a long-lasting scent; that is earth (and lung) friendly!✨

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your candles before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
