This is part of our Gods & Goddesses series of candles, a 4 fl. oz. candle scented with a light musky amber fragrance that has just a touch of warm lavender in the background for an exotic combination perfect for a Njord candle. Comes decorated with eco-friendly glitter and/or mica powder.

Adding these warm aromas to our custom blend of soy and coconut wax, we hand-pour each 4 oz candle into a lovely black tin with a lid, and allow it to cure for a short time before we ship it to you.

We can also add tumbled aquamarine (or amethyst depending on stock) crystal chips and dried blue lotis and Himalayan pink sea salt to the top of your candle if you wish, for a small extra charge, just select "With Crystals/Herbs" from the dropdown box labeled "Style".

The patriarch of the Vanir tribe, Njord was the Norse god of wind and waters. The father of Freyr and Freya, he was also the patron of sailors and fishermen. He also brought wealth to the just and deserving. As the patriarch of the Vanir deities, Njord led his tribe against the Aesir gods during the Aesir-Vanir War. He would later join the Aesir as part of a peace settlement. Unlike most deities, the mythological father of Freyr and Freya was fated to survive the cataclysmic destruction of Ragnarök and be reborn into the world.

Njord was a popular god among the Norse, and seafarers in particular. Those who worshipped him did so in hopes of receiving bounty from the seas. In Norway—the center of Njord’s worship—locals continued to offer him prayers well into the eighteenth century.

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your candles before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
