This is part of our Gods & Goddesses series scented with the beautiful authentic scent of China Rain, blended with a dark peppery black amber, with the watery scent of lotus blossom, and a hint of warm lavender buds. We top these with tumbled black obsidian tumbled crystal chips and dried hibiscus flowers (both sacred to Kali) to make them the perfect offering candle for Kali.

Kali, also known as Dakshina Kalika, is a Hindu goddess, who is considered to be the Master of death and time. She is also said to be the Paramshakti, which is the supreme of all powers, or the ultimate reality.

Kali's earliest appearance is when she emerged from Lord Shiva. She is the ultimate manifestation of Shakti and the mother of all living beings. She destroys evil in order to protect the innocent. Over time, Kali has been worshipped by devotional movements and tantric sects variously as the Divine Mother, Mother of the Universe, Adi Shakti, or Parvati. She is also seen as the divine protector and the one who bestows moksha or liberation. Kali is portrayed standing on Lord Shiva, with her right foot forward. Her skin color appears to be dark, and she is wearing a garland of 50 skulls, denoting 50 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. She is four-armed, holding a Kharag, in her top left arm, denoting strength. In her lower hand, she is holding a severed head denoting ego, which Kali hates. Both of her right hands are in Abhay mudra, denoting that she is a kind mother, who protects and nurtures her children. She is completely naked, denoting that she is above this material world.

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your candles before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through Etsy messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
