The scent of China Rain is perfectly blended with dark peppery black amber, the watery scent of lotus blossom, and warm lavender buds. The candle is topped with tumbled black obsidian tumbled crystal chips and dried hibiscus flowers, both sacred to Kali. These candles make the perfect offering for the Hindu goddess, Kali.

The candle comes in a 16 oz Wide and Flat black-colored Candle Tin with a decorative Kali sigil on the lid. Kali is an important figure in Hindu mythology and is considered to be the Master of death and time. As the ultimate manifestation of Shakti and the mother of all living beings, Kali destroys evil to protect the innocent. She is worshipped as the Divine Mother, Mother of the Universe, Adi Shakti, or Parvati, and is seen as the divine protector who bestows moksha or liberation.

Kali's image is often portrayed with her standing on Lord Shiva, with her right foot forward. She appears with dark skin and is adorned with a garland of 50 skulls, denoting the 50 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. She is depicted as four-armed, holding a Kharag in her top left arm, denoting strength. In her lower hand, she holds a severed head, symbolizing her rejection of ego. Both of her right hands are in Abhay mudra, symbolizing that she is a kind mother who protects and nurtures her children. Her nakedness represents her detachment from the material world.

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your candles before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through Etsy messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
