FREYJA aka FREYA (also known as Freja, Freyia, Fröja, Frøya, Frøjya, Frua, and ᚠᚱᛅᚢᛁᛅ) Norse Goddess of Love, Beauty, Sex, Fertility, Battle, Magic, and Death.

This candle is an ideal offering for Freyja, featuring a light musk aroma with amber musk and a hint of cocoa, creating a sensual and feminine scent. The candles come embedded with tumbled labradorite gemstones and pink and peach rose petals grown in our garden, both sacred to Freya, making it an excellent choice for a ritual or offering candle.

The 16 oz candle is presented in a black-colored wide and flat candle tin with a Celtic Freya design on the lid, making it perfect for display in any space.

The name Freya, meaning "the lady," was originally an honorific title for a mature woman of high social standing. Freya herself was known by many epithets, including "the giver," "sea shaker," and "lady of the slain." She was the sister and counterpart of Freyr and was responsible for love, fertility, battle, and death. Freya was also the mother of two daughters, Hnoss and Gersemi, and owned the necklace Brísingamen, rode a chariot pulled by two cats, and possessed a cloak of falcon feathers.

It is interesting to note that "Friday" was likely named after Freya, as the word is believed to be a portmanteau of "Freya's day."

Candle Instructions: Always keep wick trimmed back to under 1/4" (6.35mm) at all times, before and during burning. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when the overall wax level falls to 1/4" (6mm) or less in the bottom of the container. Caution - the container can get scalding. Please burn on heatproof safe surfaces away from children and pets. Do not allow melted wax to contact skin as burns may occur.

DURING WARMER MONTHS, we can't guarantee that USPS will deliver your melts before they melt slightly. If this occurs, try putting the melts or candle into your refrigerator for a few minutes before opening or using your wax melts or candle. If a lot melts or you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to contact us through Etsy messages with a photo of the item, and we will absolutely make it right with you!
