This beautiful black-colored large 16 oz candle tin is embedded with freshly dried homegrown mugwort from the Ozarks of Missouri and green and blue fluorite tumbled crystal chips. The fragrance of true petrichor with hints of rain and ozone in a soy wax blend creates a very earthy, damp scent that is difficult to describe. Petrichor is the term coined by Australian scientists in 1964 to describe the unique, earthy smell associated with rain. Our candle captures this scent perfectly, making it great for Fairies and Fairy Magick.

According to Celtic mythology, Danu is the ancient mother of all gods and of the Celtic people. She was thought to be both the original goddess and god, an all-encompassing deity who gave birth to everything and everyone. Danu is often associated with Earth, waters, winds, fertility, and wisdom.

In the story of Bile and Dagda, Danu was responsible for the oak tree that Bile appeared as. From their union, Dagda was born. Dagda was the chief leader of the Tuatha de Danann, so Danu was believed to be his mother.
